Phys Ed June Report

As we wrap up another fantastic school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate all the hard work, enthusiasm, and growth our students have shown in Physical Education.

This year, students participated in a wide variety of activities designed to develop movement skills, teamwork, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for being active. From cooperative games and fitness challenges to sport-specific skills and creative movement, students embraced every opportunity to learn and grow.

One of our highlights was our gymnastics unit, where students practiced balance, coordination, strength, and body control through a variety of stations and movement sequences. It was wonderful to see students challenge themselves and celebrate their progress.

This spring, students also spent time preparing for our annual Dance in the Park event. Classes worked hard learning and practicing their dances, demonstrating perseverance and creativity while building confidence in performing for others. We were proud to showcase their efforts to families and our school community.

Our Grade 4 students participated in Track and Field activities, developing their running, jumping, and throwing skills while demonstrating great sportsmanship and determination. It was exciting to watch them challenge themselves and strive for personal bests.

With the warmer weather, many classes enjoyed spending time outdoors. Whether participating in field games, fitness activities, or cooperative challenges, students benefited from being active in the fresh air while continuing to build their physical literacy skills.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for your support throughout the year. Have a safe, active, and enjoyable summer break!
