Parent Council 2026-2027

October 2026

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is open to all parents, guardians, caregivers, and members of the École Bonnycastle School community.

Each year, PAC members elect an executive team to help guide the council's activities and initiatives. The school principal and vice principal also participate as valued non-voting members, providing support, school updates, and a connection between the PAC and the school.

What Does PAC Do?

PAC works with the school to:

· Share parent and community perspectives with the principal and staff.

· Encourage family and community involvement in the school.

· Coordinate fundraising initiatives and events.

· Manage PAC activities and funds responsibly and transparently.

How PAC Supports Our School

PAC works together with parents, guardians, school administration, and staff to identify school and student needs and find ways to support them.

Through fundraising and volunteer efforts, PAC helps to create additional opportunities for students to learn, grow, and have fun at school. These may include:

· Playground improvements and equipment

· Special performances and events

· Additional learning opportunities and activities

By volunteering, attending meetings, and supporting fundraising efforts, families help make these opportunities possible for our students. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.

Get Involved with PAC

Parents and guardians are encouraged to get involved with PAC. Everyone is welcome, and we would love to hear your ideas, perspectives, and receive extra helping hands.

There are many ways to participate:

· Attend a PAC meeting to share your ideas, ask questions, and stay informed about what's happening at the school. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., from September through June.

· Volunteer for events, fundraisers, and projects. Help is needed both behind the scenes with planning and organizing, and at events to help everything run smoothly.

· Support ongoing school activities. As some long-time PAC volunteers move on in the coming years, new volunteers are needed to help continue valued initiatives and events such as Kindergarten Stay and Play, Pizza Fun Lunch, Festival du Voyageur, and Cultural Week.

If you are unable to attend a monthly meeting but would still like to stay informed, please review the meeting minutes below:
