Ms. Sharma and Ms Tyhy's Grade 1 Fall Fun!

We have been up to lots of fall fun in Grade 1! Many of our learning experiences have been inspired by the seasonal changes happening around us.

This week, we went on a leaf hunt, where students collected a variety of leaves in different colours, shapes, and sizes. We counted our collections, sorted our leaves, and even measured them!

Later, we read Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert and were inspired by the use of leaves in the book’s illustrations. This sparked our creativity as we created our own leaf art, turning our collections into leaf kangaroos, monsters, birds, cats, and so much more!

We look forward to discovering what else the remainder of fall has to teach us!
