Bonnycastle Phys Ed Back to School Update
We have had a fantastic start to the school year in Physical Education! Students have been busy learning the rules, routines, and expectations that help make our gym a safe, positive, and fun place to learn. From entering and exiting the gym safely to using equipment responsibly and working cooperatively with classmates, we are building the foundations for a successful year of physical activity.
Our learning has taken us both inside and outside as we take advantage of the beautiful fall weather. Students have been developing their movement skills, participating in a variety of games and activities, and practising important skills such as teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship. Getting outside provides wonderful opportunities to stay active, explore different activities, and enjoy learning in a new environment.
A special highlight of the fall was our Grade 4 students participating in the divisional cross-country meet at St. Vital Park! This was an exciting opportunity for our students to get their first taste of inter-school competition. They represented our school with enthusiasm, determination, and sportsmanship while challenging themselves alongside students from other schools. Congratulations to all of our runners for their hard work and effort!
We look forward to another great year of learning, moving, and growing together in Physical Education. Please remember to dress for the weather, as we will continue to head outdoors whenever conditions allow!
