"The Magical Yet" -Mme. Jones 1/2 Class

'Hopes and Dreams' in Mme. Jones' Grade 1/2 Class

Students in Mme. Jones' Grade 1/2 class read "The Magical Yet" by Angela DiTerlizzi, which led to a discussion about things they would like to learn in the classroom but haven't learned how to do yet.

After brainstorming sessions as a class, we came up with many different hopes and dreams for the 2023-2024 school year. 

Students then picked 3 (or more if they would like) hopes and dreams. They wrote their hopes and dreams on a colored piece of paper and created a rainbow cloud of hopes and dreams.

During this time, there was an ongoing conversation of trying our hardest, never giving up, and keeping that "magical yet" in our minds when trying something new.
