Meet the newest Whyte Ridge Team Members: Ms. Lemon and Ms. Voth, our new Grade 3/4 and 4 teachers

Ms. Lemon

by Katelyn, Presley and Teagan

Ms. Lemon is a fun, creative, calm, cool and kind grade 3/4 teacher. We know this because two of her students told us this themselves. She always wanted to be a teacher ever since she was five years old. Ms. Lemon loves to bake and if she wasn’t a teacher, she would want to be a baker. This is because one of her favourite things to do is to bake cookies and cupcakes. Ms. Lemon has already taught a wide variety of classes. Before she came to Whyte Ridge, she taught at Chancellor school. Ms. Lemon also substituted in Kindergarten to grade 11. She chose to teach grades 3 and 4 because of the topics they learn about and all of the fun activities they do! Her favorite subject to teach is Science. She loves doing all of the experiments with the kids and thinks it is fun doing them! Her favourite books are the series of books by John Jory including “The Good Egg”, “The Couch Potato” and “The Bad Seed”!

It was wonderful to meet Ms. Lemon and we really enjoyed getting to know a little bit about her.

Ms. Voth and Her Favourite Things

By Penny and Isabella

We found out the new grade four teacher, Ms. Voth, is a very interesting teacher! We asked her about her favourite things.

Our first question was whether she enjoys her job and if she likes her class. She answered that she does enjoy her job and she really likes her class. They do funny things. They also listen and do what she asks them to. Next, Isabella asked what her favourite subject is. She said it is a tie between Art and ELA.  Penny wanted to know how old she was when she started teaching. She said she was 25 years old. We wanted to find out her favourite book. She told us it is Harry Potter. We were also curious what her favourite season is. She answered she likes Fall the best. Her favourite movie is also Harry Potter! She loves the colour purple the most. Painting and croqueting are her preferred hobbies. We also wanted to know what she likes to eat the most. She told us she prefers pasta! Finally, we were wondering if she can speak other languages. We were surprised to learn she speaks French and Spanish as well as English.

Thank you for meeting with us, Ms. Voth!
