Pembina Trails welcomes our new Superintendent/CEO Shelley Amos

Pembina Trails Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelley Amos, Superintendent of Education/Chief Executive Officer of Pembina Trails School Division

The Board of Trustees congratulates Shelley Amos on her appointment to Superintendent of Education/Chief Executive Officer of Pembina Trails School Division effective August 1, 2024.

Shelley comes to us from another Manitoba school division where she has served as part of the Senior Administration Team since 2018, most recently as Superintendent of Education/Chief Executive Officer since 2020. With thirty years of experience in education and having held a variety of roles during her tenure, Shelley has developed a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with leading a school division. 

Shelley has a demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the division's goals and values and is adept at fostering collaboration among administrators, teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to create an environment conducive to student success. Her leadership style incorporates components of open communication, collaboration, transparency, and a genuine commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive culture. 

Shelley shared with us, “I am particularly interested in Pembina Trails School Division due to its reputation for commitment to student wellbeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion, academic excellence, innovation, and dedication to preparing students to "accomplish anything". I am eager to bring my expertise and passion for education to Pembina Trails and contribute to its continued growth and success and am confident in my ability to lead with vision, integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to educational excellence.”
