Library Learning Commons

The Bison Run Library Learning Commons and Makerspace is a vibrant space that is open and welcoming to everyone. By combining our print collection with new technologies we encourage students and staff to develop the six global competencies of creativity, communication, collaboration, connection to self, citizenship, and critical thinking.

Our collection is current and meets the curricular needs of our staff and students. A wide range of titles make our collection diverse and inclusive to promote literacy growth for all students.

A dynamic Library Learning Commons space is the heart of the school and a technology hub for learning through inquiry, research, and the design process.

The Library Learning Commons supports information literacy skills development. Students are guided in the use of technology as a source of information and to construct and share knowledge. A focus on online security, privacy and digital citizenship support the development of ethical users and producers of digital content.
