In 4SB Art, we learned about color, form, line, and value all in one art project. After experimenting with adding white and black to color, students painted a ghost and pumpkin showing a value scale from light to dark. They then played with form and were able to make their pumpkins appear in 3D. Line was experimented with in their backgrounds, using cold colors of oil pastels to create a cool fall feeling behind the ghosts. Lastly, students added to their own personality and gave them some great faces with fantastic expressions. It was a terrific few days of fun exploration with color and art.
