Students worked in groups to share their Social Studies and Science learning through a combined STEAM project that connected the Social Studies units Geography and People and Stories of Canada with the Science units Weather and Habitats. The project, titled “Habitats and Weather in My First Nation Community,” allowed students to listen carefully to one another and show respect for different opinions and perspectives. Group discussions supported the development of cooperation, communication, and problem-solving skills. By valuing everyone’s contributions, students strengthened their teamwork and social skills.
