February 2024 Wildcats of the Month

Matthew Caron

Matthew has been an integral part of WD1 Shooters basketball team’s success this season. He has worked hard to improve his ball handling, shooting, and passing skills over the past year and is a leader on his team. Matthew enjoys PE and works hard to build other skills during his time in the gym.

Owen Vigilance

Owen didn’t even know if he was going to play basketball this year and now, he’s a massive contributor to WD2 Shooters boys team success. He is a skilled athlete that also excels on the volleyball court. Owen plays hard defense, uses his wingspan to get in passing lanes, and leaping ability to grab rebounds and score around the rim. 

Owen is our Grade 7 Wildcat of the Month for February!

Caitlyn Faykes

Caitlyn is a hard-working student in her Physical Education and Health Education classes. She is encouraging to other students and always participates fully. Caitlyn is not only active outside of school with horseback riding but has been committed to volleyball and cheer at Westdale.
