Wildcats of the Month - January!

Grade 6 – Rafael

Raf is an active and enthusiastic participant in physical education. While he would always prefer to play basketball in class, because as he states, "ball is life." He still puts an awesome effort into all activities and games we play. Raf has been coming out to Skills Camp led by Mr. Buss and Mr. Streifler. He will be apart of the Grade 6 Basketball club and could easily be called up if needed to one of the Shooters Boys teams. Great efforts Raf.

Grade 7 – Nahom

Nahom is a happy go lucky dude and has been working hard to become an all-around athlete. His focus has always been basketball since he was a young elementary student terrorizing the courts of Beaverlodge. His hard work has paid off as he has led the WD2 Shooters Boys team in most stat categories to begin the season. WD2’s record in league sits at 3-0 and they just finished 3rd out of 8 teams at the Hedges Tournament this past weekend. Way to go Nahom!

Grade 8 – Zahlia

Zahlia is a very hard-working and involved student at Westdale. She is a member of most sports teams and a talented band student. During PE she is always fair, fun and holds people accountable. She is currently a starting guard on the Westdale girls’ basketball team. She works hard to get to the basket, has a nice shot, and plays solid defense. Coach Streifler states: “Zahlia always practices hard and is calming presence on the court.” Give it up for Zahlia!
