Principal Message September 2021

Welcome back to all you Wildcats!

The first week of school has been fantastic.  We were all looking forward to seeing the students and they have been happy and exciting to be here.  Thanks to everyone for doing their part to get this school year started.

September always brings lots of events and this year is no exception.  Cross Country practices and intramural outdoor basketball are starting up at lunch.  If your child is interested, they should see either Mr. Rayner or Mr. McLeod in the gym.

The daily announcements are happening via ‘The Growl’, our live stream announcement channel.  Right now, we have teachers as guest announcers, but we will soon be having students doing the announcements.  If your child is interested, they should see Mr. Pfahl.

We are planning to do the Terry Fox Run on September 23, 2021.  Your child will receive more information through their Phys. Ed. classes soon.

We want to wish a fond farewell to Carol Dobrowolski.  Carol retired just before the end of June.  She has been a teacher at this school for 30 years and we all miss her.  Ms. Madison Mislawchuk is the teacher that has come in to replace Ms. Dobrowolski.

Mr. Spiring has moved on to St. Paul’s High School and Mr. Rod McLeod (formerly from Beaverlodge) has come over the field to become a Wildcat!

Ms. Voth has also moved schools.  She is now at Whyte Ridge School.  But not to worry, Mr. Carey Buss is teaching the French Communication and Culture course.

We look forward to continuing nice weather and will keep you posted as more clubs and sports teams open up.
