Waverley West gatherings were a beautiful demonstration of community coming together…

Bison Run School and Pembina Trails Collegiate hosted three community gatherings. Two were in person on November 15 and 16 and one was hosted virtually via a live Teams event on November 22.

In addition, we created a Thought Exchange survey (see link below) which encapsulated the three statements into a question from the community gatherings so that community members, staff and students that could not attend the gatherings could still have a voice. We created a Microsoft form for any additional questions that came up outside of these visioning events.

We were thrilled to see so many community members, students and staff come together to envision what this K-12 campus could look and feel like. The next steps for us are to collate all of these valuable sources of information. This will then help to inform us of our next steps in terms of further advisory committees, information provided to the community and how we will work together to create an incredible K-12 campus filled with Waverley West students.

Thank you to everyone that has contributed their voice.

You matter.

In gratitude and partnership,

Caterina Romeo-Mzakar, principal of Bison Run School & Jacqui Kroeker, principal of Pembina Trails Collegiate
