This letter is posted on behalf of Tabs for
Wheelchairs:
Hi Everyone,
Our 20th Anniversary
year was a very successful one thanks to all of you! Western Scrap Metals,
where all our tabs are delivered and recycled, just informed us that we brought
in 14,284 lbs. of tabs this last
June. This equals approximately 21 million tabs. It is the largest total yet! We received a cheque for $8,955.46.
As mentioned in our July newsletter, we also received a generous
donation of $30,000 which is being
used to purchase 4-5 wheelchairs that will be given to individuals who have
need of a specialized wheelchair at the present time.
The number of participants in the program has also increased. Attached
are updated lists of the schools and companies/groups that are now saving tabs.
We now have 119 schools and 194 companies/groups.
Also attached is a picture of next year’s recipient. She is a lovely young lady by the name of Scarlett. Our tabs program has done so
well this past year that we are once again going to be able to present a second
wheelchair. It is going to be another
sport wheelchair to the Manitoba
Wheelchair Sport Association. MWSA
is always happy to receive more chairs of various sizes. The sport wheelchairs are used by many for
their different weekly sport events.

Once again, we
can’t thank you enough for your continued support as it has made the Tabs for
Wheelchairs the success that it is today!
Our next newsletter will be in April 2019.
Sincerely,
