PTEC students have exceptional results at CyberTitan nationals.

On Monday, May 16th, three Grade 12 students and two Grade 11 students from Pembina Trails Early College (PTEC) competed at the CyberTitan V National Finals.

The CyberTitan competition tests students’ understanding and ability to secure operating systems against attackers. Students secure computer policies, firewalls, services, and much more to ensure that it is difficult for malicious users to attack their systems.

After competing for five straight hours on Monday, our PTEC team found, configured, and secured 30 items on the seven devices they were asked to configure. This tireless effort awarded them the distinction of being ranked 1st in Western Canada and 4th overall in Canada!

A very sincere congratulations goes out to these phenomenal students and competitors, and our leader, coach and teacher, Mr. Scott Hardman.

A big shoutout to Samuel Rosales, Alex Hackbart, Kaden Spletzer, Benjamin Kaganovitch, and Nazar Viznytsya.

Well done!
