How to Apply for PTEC!

We are very excited to move into our new digs at Pembina Trails Collegiate (PTC)! While we had great experiences at the SmartPark Innovation Hub, we are over the moon to be in a school that has state-of-the-art design and programming. 

PTEC is continuously improving how we do school. While we have found much success in the past four years. We, like technology, are going through an upgrade. 

PTEC will maintain its high level of accelerated technology programming in both Cyber Security and Software Development, we will do it just a bit differently starting with the application process. 

Over the past years, we have had over 250 students on the waiting lists. We want to have options for all of our Pembina Trails Students in a way that suited their understanding and needs to be technology-educated students. To make sure we have the right formula and technology programming for our students, we would like students to not only apply but also send us a letter of intent. 

*NEW*  APPLYING FOR PTEC AT PTC - 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR 

Any current grade 8 student residing in the Pembina Trails catchment area can apply to PTEC at PTC.

When applying, students must fill out the application form fully and include a letter of intent.  Our application site will be open from January 5th to March 3rd, 2023, at noon.

The letter should contain the following:

• Your name
• current school
• current grade
• what you know about PTEC
• why you would be a great fit for PTEC
• something interesting about yourself 
• what about technology interests you
• what would you like to learn more about in technology?

Both the application and letter of intent should be emailed together to ptec@pembinatrails.ca before March 3, 2023, at noon to be considered.
