Please wear masks when carpooling

All of us are sick and tired of COVID-19 and what it has done to our way of life.

We are fortunate that our Pembina Trails families have done such a great job getting vaccinated. Right now 87.9% of people in our community are vaccinated.

As the weather begins to get colder we have to remain vigilant if we are going to get back to something close to normal.

If you drive your children to school – and especially if you carpool with families outside of your bubble – please wear your masks in the car. It’s not fun, but the science is clear: wearing masks in a car helps reduce the potential spread of the coronavirus because physical distancing is not possible. Slightly lower a window to increase the airflow inside the car.

Walking is still the safest way for your children to get to school. If your family situation is such that walking to school is an option for your child, we encourage you to make that part of your family plan.

Together we will get through this. We all need to make sure we are doing everything we can to stop the virus from spreading.
