École Tuxedo Park collects almost 600 books for northern communities

The spirit of giving back to the community is strong in Pembina Trails. The most recent example is a book drive recently completed by École Tuxedo Park that collected nearly 600 books and magazines that will be sent to Red Sucker Lake, Wasagamack, Lac Brochet and Manto Sipi, also known as God’s River.

Thanks to the generosity of École Tuxedo Park’s families, each family in those communities will receive at least three books for their families to read, enjoy and learn.

Many of the books celebrate Indigenous culture.

Congratulations to everyone involved for making this big step on the path to truth and reconciliation.
