Moon Ties

On Monday, April 26, students from Arthur A. Leach went to the Forks to complete an Indigenous practice taught to them by and elder from Roseau River.  In February, with the Walking Together program, they made Moon ceremony ties and put grandfather stones in them with things they would like to work on.  At the Forks we smudged and gave the ties to the river to help them on their journeys.  It was a connective and enjoyable experience that students said they had fun doing!  Miigwech!
