NOVA is PTV's program for its youngest choristers. PTV offers an exciting holistic program for boys and girls in kindergarten and grade one. Children who participate in the Nova program are encouraged to learn to use their singing voices in an ensemble and are encouraged to learn to read and write simple musical patterns. NOVA is our only unauditioned program. Class size is limited to twenty children and registration is on a first-come, first- served basis.
Students in kindergarten and grade one who demonstrate a genuine interest in music, a love of singing and who wish to have early experiences in ensemble work are encouraged to register for NOVA. Students must be willing to commit to regular attendance and active participation at all classes and at one spring performance for a period of October through March.
NOVA performs at the March concert, "Music for a Sunday Afternoon" that features PTV's younger choirs – NOVA, Minnesingers, Boys TC and Choraliers. See Concerts for details.
