Performing and touring are part of the choral experience and a significant part of the PTV program in the middle and senior years. There are no other circumstances in which choristers can experience the intense, personal and musical impact of performing together, than on a tour. The resulting community, the interaction with various audiences and the cultivation of stronger relationships between choristers are important parts of the touring experience. It is expected that all choristers participate in tours.

Tours are an opportunity to create exchanges with other choirs, in addition to scheduling workshops with well-known choral clinicians. These visits and musical exchanges have been beneficial for both choristers and adult chaperones, giving everyone a perspective on music-making and community spirit which would otherwise have been missed. We also try to incorporate an element of service in the tours by singing in a senior citizen's home or other schools.

The philosophy has been to work hard and play hard during the tours. Both Chorale and PTV Ragazzi tour every year to destinations throughout Manitoba or neighbouring provinces. Tours last four days and usually occur at the beginning of April. Cantemus and PTV Men go on more extensive tours each year, with international destinations every other year. Destinations have included Newfoundland, Poland, Minnesota, Cuba, China, and most recently to the Banff Rocky Mountain Music Festival.

Tour plans for 2019 - 2020 season for Chorale and PTV Ragazzi are in motion. Stay tuned!

PTV Singers will travel to Montreal, Quebec to perform by invitation at the prestigious National Choral Conference, Podium on the May long weekend in May 2020. More details will follow!
