They have earned their place on both the national and international stage.

This past summer, Pembina Trails Voices captured a national title, as well as secured third place at Llangollen International Music Festival in Wales.

The talented group is looking forward to another rewarding session. In order to build anticipation for their upcoming performance, they have released a video cover of American pop/folk singer Sarah Jarosz’s Green Lights.

Valdine Anderson, PTV Artistic Director, was inspired when first hearing the song during the Rocky Mountain Music Festival in 2018.

“A high school choir from BC performed it, and I thought the song was really beautiful and the text beautifully suited to the age of our singers. It was a song that also seemed to lend itself to visuals and filming it outdoors and with a drone camera was an exciting project to think about,” shared Anderson.

The video was filmed in our community at Kings Park in Fort Garry. PTV singers also performed Green Lights at venues across England and Wales during their musical tour this past summer.

We would like to wish all our choristers a successful season. A full list of concert dates and times are available online. PTV also plans to a record a series of songs that celebrates Manitoba’s 150th.  Stay tuned for more details.
