In Pembina Trails, we believe literacy is a real team effort. We know that teaching students to read requires a commitment by our educators, schools, families and the larger community.
We are inviting our families to join an online virtual town hall on parental engagement strategies for student success in literacy. We want to hear about how you are finding success to reinforce literacy at home.
That is why we have created an online space where our parents and guardians can share ideas with others about how they are shaping their child to become a confident reader. It is our hope that this community forum will inspire and serve as a platform to swap resources and tips on literacy at home. Think of this exchange as a place to share great ideas and give great ideas.
We are once again using a tool called Thoughtexchange. You will be asked to respond to one open-ended question and then have the opportunity to consider and assign stars to the ideas expressed by others.
Please join the conversation here.
