Vice-chair of the board

P: 204.895.4539

dzuk@pembinatrails.ca

First elected in 2006, Dianne describes herself as a champion for public education. She has been an active member of the Charleswood community for more than 20 years and can often be spotted at community events, school assemblies, parent meetings and graduations.

Prior to her retirement, Dianne spent thirty years in education, including Pembina Trails schools, and brings a classroom perspective to the board. She deeply believes in our three expectations for student learning and focus on 21st century learning, as these areas of focus have resulted in schools and teachers looking at best practices, data gathering and initiatives and programming to meet the needs of all our students. She is proud to have played a role in our Alternative High School and our Kindergarten Here We Come program.

Dianne is a strong advocate for public education, especially given her background as an educator. She is keenly aware of the importance our community places on learning and the well-being of its children.

Dianne is married to Bill, an author and historian, and they have two talented sons and two wonderful, smart granddaughters. She gives her time generously as a community volunteer with different organizations.
