Welcome to the School Ground Greening project Overview!

In the school year 2008 – 2009, the …cole St. Avila Parent Home and School Association (parent committee) embarked on the school ground greening project. This project is a 5 year undertaking spearheaded by the St. Avila Home and School Association.  …cole St. Avila is located in the Pembina Trails School Division. See the latest media overview of the School Ground Greening project in the Division’s Special Community Report on Sustainable Education -  released December 2010.

cole St. Avila Parent Home and School Association works closely with the school staff to initiate and support activities for the general benefit of the children. Over the years, the parent committee has raised funds for various materials for the school ( smart boards, digital cameras, art programming, gymnasium climbing wall and sports equipment, etc.)

Along with the parent committee, we are very fortunate to have a dynamic leadership team within Ecole St. Avila providing invaluable support, insight and guidance; the Principal, Vice Principal, team of educators and support staff are an integral part of the school ground greening project. We are also fortunate to have strong support and guidance from the Pembina Trails School Division and Board of Trustees. Huge ‘thank yous’ are extended to all!
