OWL ESL
Resources
This is an extensive list of sites that provide resources for ESL/EAL learners
and their teachers. |
Dave's ESL Cafe
Look at the Idea Cookbook for starters. |
Teacher Planet
The current page features links for a Fall Unit, Halloween Unit, Rainforest
Unit, Winter Unit and a printable November calendar. Some of these resources
might be suitable for EAL as well as English Language Arts instruction. There
are new things added frequently. |
ABC Teach.com
Some resources (flash cards, printables, clip art, puzzles) at this site are
free, others require a membership. The choices are aimed for teachers of young
students. |
Song Lyrics
The idea of utilizing song lyrics to learn English might appeal to many
students. You'd probably have to be selective using the Song Lyrics site. For
one thing, not all lyrics there will teach you how to speak English properly :)
If you work with younger students, try a search with "Raffi" as the artist to
get the lyrics to his fun music. |
Speaking English -
Resources
The About pages (owned by the New York Times) are somewhat annoying as you have
to click so often to get what you want. The links at this spot may be worth the
clicking. |
