AP Chemistry at Shaftesbury High School is a grade 12 course for students who are part of the Program for Gifted Learners in Chemistry and who are possibly seeking a first year university chemistry credit. Students enroled in AP Chemistry have completed two semesters of chemistry by the end of first semester in their grade 12 year. AP Chemistry includes six topics of study: Physical Properties, Thermodynamics, Bonding Theories, Gas Laws, Coordination Compounds, and Investigative Chemistry.
