Websites
WEBSITES SUBMITTED BY LIL FROESE, MAY 21, 2009
I have been going over the websites suggested in our workshop on Wed a.m. There are several that are well worth looking at. They were suggested based on foldables www.dinah.com/manipulatives.php. There are some really good suggestions and a few free downloadables on this site. At the session there were egs. of foldables which we all thought were really good and could easily use. The site also sells a lot of books, etc. based on Dinah's ideas.
Also Blackline masters can be found at:

The nzmaths site has all kinds of great ideas for games and BLMs. Some of the games do not have directions as they are provided in the book which the site is based on. There are some very good ideas, however.
The sparklebox site has great ideas all free and downloadable. I found lots of things that would be useful for a word wall in math. There are also other subject areas and themes (literacy, French, etc. Lots of neat things especially for K -1 or 2.
The lrt.ednet.ns.website has many BLMs. Some of them are very good and useful as well. For older grades as well not just primary grades.
Then we are also reminded to use the Manitoba gov. Website as there are lots of good games on there as well for Math. http://www.edu.gov.mb.ca/k12/cur/math/index.html
