The School Division provides additional testing, counselling and
assessment services through such professionals as social workers,
psychologists, audio and speech therapists, psychiatrists and public
health nurses. These professionals work closely with the school and
may be contacted through Student Support Services.
Differentiated Instruction
Instructional methods and strategies are chosen to accommodate the
wide range of abilities, interests and learning styles of students.
In order to achieve identified course learning outcomes, teachers
differentiate instruction. Instruction is focused on developing,
within the framework of the various disciplines, the foundation
skills of literacy and communication, problem solving, human
relations and technology. There are many paths to reach required
learning outcomes. Classroom experiences are differentiated by
offering choices and by varying practices. |
